The aim of the course is to provide a more advanced knowledge of Stata 12 statistical software package. Students should gain the confidence to write their own programmes, enabling efficient and easily reproducible analyses.
It is assumed that participants will have attended the Introduction to Stata course (or be familiar with the contents of this course) AND have used Stata for at least 6 months. The course is aimed at statisticians or highly numerate students that use Stata frequently in their work and who undertake more complex analyses.
This one-day course runs immediately after, and builds on, the two-day course Advanced Stata.
Familiarity with Stata is a pre-requisite for this course. Please note this is NOT suitable as a conversion course for statisticians using other packages such as SAS or R.
Teaching will make up a total of six hours, consisting of tutorials and practical sessions. For further information: please contact short-course@bristol.ac.uk.
