Clubs, coaches and volunteers

Sport would not, could not, happen without the often unseen efforts of coaches, volunteers and club officials. Sport at the University of Bristol is no different with a range of employed and volunteer coaches, student volunteers running clubs and sports leaders volunteering in the community.
Getting involved in sport as a leader, coach, volunteer, referee or club official offers great opportunities for gaining new skills, getting recognised qualifications and enhancing your personal and professional development (build that CV!). It is also a great way to ensure a lifelong involvement in your sport and help others gain the enjoyment from your sport that you have.

Leadership through Sport

The experience gained by students in sport can stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives. Many gain experience beyond playing, which itself has the virtue of encouraging fitness, health, sportsmanship, team awareness etc. Other benefits arise from the opportunities to coach, referee, administer and captain.
