Sports Coach Network
The University of Bristol's 'Sports Coach Network' has been designed to support coaches of any sport studying or working at the university. Free to join, and open to all at the university, the network will cater for the following:
- those gaining a coaching qualification whilst at the university (via the coach development programme or through JUICE)
- those already qualified to coach a sport prior to studying or working here
- those interested in gaining a sports coaching qualification
Members of the network will then receive:
- information on coaching opportunities in the university
- information on paid and unpaid coaching opportunities, including overseas
- details of training, courses and other coach development support
- access to in-house support and development opportunities (such as training, coach seminars, etc.)
Sports coaches make a big commitment through qualifying and actively coaching so this network is aimed at helping support those members of the university wishing to start, continue or further develop an involvement in coaching, alongside their work and study requirements. By making support and a range of opportunities more accessible through the university community we will hopefully assist sports coaches at the University of Bristol to continue developing their involvement in sport.
