Intramural Sport is organised jointly by UBU and Sport, Exercise and Health. Each Hall has a Sports Representative, as do most departments and some student societies who you can contact to find out more information. Postgraduates and Staff are very welcome to join in all the events.

Intramural literally means 'done within walls'. It thus represents the sporting competition that goes on within the university. Intramural sport enables students of all sporting abilities to represent their Hall or Department, or form a team with a group of friends, in a wide variety of leagues and tournaments.
Leagues, tournaments and events are run throughout the year in a large variety of sports which take place at the University's high quality sports facilities. The 11-aside football league alone has 65 teams and plays on the Bristol Downs. The programme concludes at the end of the year with the Summer Sports Sendoff, a week long festival of sport to complete the year in style.
Most of the leagues start, and the first tournaments take place, in October and November. If you are at halls then simply get in touch with your Hall Sports Representative or visit the "Fresh" event at the Students Union. Alternatively you can form your own team based around a group of friends. Entry forms can obtained from either the Do-it hub in the Students Union Building, Queens Road or from the University sports facilities.
