Coaching Programmes

Junior Programme

Running each school term there is a regular weekly programme, which runs the national recognised LTA Mini Tennis Scheme. Children enter a programme that follows certain skills where they work towards collecting stickers and finally a certificate and medal, before moving onto the next level.

The entry level for the youngest players we call "Mums, Pops and Tots" and is for Pre School Children. The session is based around a fun packed co-ordination circuit devised by Tennis Director Peter Bendall, which the children work their way round with the help of a Parent or Guardian.

Mini Tots is the entry level for juniors aged 4 - 5 years old

Mini Red, Mini Orange and then Mini Green are the next three stages of development. Each Colour is split into 3 levels. The Children seem to really love collecting the stickers and progressing through to the next level.

For more information on Mini Tennis visit http://www.minitennis.com

Junior Select - These squads are for Invited Players who have shown both promise and commitment to attend at least three squads a week. This programme receives some financial subsidy from the LTA.

Early Bird - The Early Bird sessions run during Term Time and is a free session for all those players who are in a Junior Select Squad. The session runs on a Friday morning from 7am onwards until the players need to leave to attend school.

Junior Competition

In addition to coaching we run regular competitions at Red, Orange and Green levels, therefore catering for all of our young junior players. We even run a Mini Tots team competition for those players who cannot rally yet. Certificates are awarded to all players along with medals for the winners.

Adult Programme

We have found that by far the most popular form  of Adult Group Tennis is our Coach and Play Sessions. These sessions provide both an opportunity for some expert coaching along with the chance to put into practise what you have learnt. Coach and play operates once again in Term Time only at the following times.

Tuesday or Friday Morning 9.30am - 11.00am

We also offer 6 week blocks of group Adult Coaching. At present these are run on a Monday Wednesday or Thursday evening. For further information and details on course dates please contact  Main Reception 0117 9626718.

Individual Coaching

All of our coaches offer private coaching. These lessons should be arranged directly through each coach. Prices for a 60 minute lesson start from £20.00 For further details please contact Main Reception 0117 9626718.
