We are sorry to inform you that the work to the Queens Rd Student Union Building has uncovered many unforeseen difficulties with the service connections between the main building and the swimming pool. These links have an impact on water, heating, lighting, and the ventilation to the pool changing rooms.
After extensive discussions and investigation into workable alternatives, it has been decided that we have no option but to close the pool earlier than anticipated.This will allow the required works to be completed in the pool area in time for the start of the new academic year.
There will be no swimming facilities between 6th April - 15th April 2012. However, we have made every effort to find alternative swimming provision for all our users and I am pleased to inform you that Clifton High School has agreed to make the following slots available in its pool to our Swimming Pool Members. The 25m pool is on Clifton Park Road which is a five minute walk from the University swimming pool (parking is extremely restricted). Please refer to the new opening hours at the Clifton High School as from April 16th to May 28th 2012
