Wellbeing opportunities for staff

Alongside work, travel, home and caring commitments, looking after ourselves can drop off the 'to do' list. Sport, Exercise and Health offer a number of opportunities to fit some wellbeing into busy schedules.
is available from our qualified therapist every week, in a central campus location. A range of treatments and prices are available. Membership of the sports facilities is not required.
Walking lunch is a weekly led-walk for University staff. Taking place every Wednesday lunchtime, the short walk offers some healthy exercise, a social occasion and an opportunity to explore the surrounding area - and gets you back to the office before anyone realises you've gone!
Volunteering can offer so many valuable skills and experiences and have a great effect on one's wellbeing. Through the sports volunteering scheme you can access a great learning opportunity, developing practical leadership skills and interacting with a diverse group of students and staff. The upcoming sports leadership course offers an excellent introduction to volunteering sport and places are still available.
Aches and pains?
When we're chained to the desk, engulfed by email and with more meetings than we'd like, physical aches and pains can manifest themselves. The Sports Medicine Clinic isn't just for sports injuries - our experienced clinicians regularly treat work-related niggles. If that stiff neck, tight shoulder or aching back is a worry then consider popping along to the free clinic for a quick assessment and advice. Appointments available four times each week.
Further bespoke support for workplace wellbeing is available on request. You can even commission a 'wellness day' for your team.
