Future Sporting Stars

New for 2019, the University of Bristol's Sport, Exercise and Health department present their Future Sporting Stars camp for 14 - 17 year-olds who wish to become the next generation of student-athletes. 

The camp is a chance for sporting teens to get an understanding of how young athletes balance Higher Education with sporting excellence, to train with our coaches and student volunteers, sessions with consultants who work with international athletes on nutrition and sports psychology, taking part in strength and conditioning, lifestyle and injury prevention sessions with our team of professionals, giving them a unique opportunity to step inside the life of a University Performance Athlete for a few days this August.

Sports at the camp for future athletes to take part in include; Netball, Football, Tennis and Hockey.

Registration

To register for the Future Sporting Stars Camps there are two options:

Online registration – if your child has previously undertaken activity with us your details should already be in our system. Therefore you can proceed to the registration portal and follow the instructions.

If your child has not previously undertaken activity you will need to set them up with a new account. Please follow this link to create a new account for your child.

Alternatively, you can contact one of our Welcome Desks at any of our sites to register for our Future Sporting Stars Camps. A member of our team will be able to register your child.

Do you already have an account with us? If yes, we can link your child’s account to yours so you can have a look at your child’s progression and achievements as they develop through this programme and our other available courses. If you would like us to link your accounts please send an email to sports-members-admin@bristol.ac.uk including your name and member number and your child’s name, member number and date of birth and we will do the rest!

This new camp is an excellent opportunity for potential young athletes to learn from our Performance Students how to harmonise higher education and playing/competing at international-level sport.
