In the 9th year of partnership with runbristolevents the clinic was on hand to provide support for the Bristol 10k on Sunday 20th May. The clinic team were in the runners village providing free pre/post race advice and injury support. There was a steady stream of customers, including a giant bear, taking advantage of expert knowledge to go on and run another day.

The Olympics beckon for 2 female Sports Medicine Clinic Clients

Georgie Twigg - Star hockey player and Bristol University student Georgie Twigg says she will be going for gold after being named in Team GB’s squad for the Olympics.

Graduate Claire Hallissey - A former student at the University of Bristol has won selection for the Olympic Games thanks to an impressive performance in Sunday’s Virgin London Marathon. Claire Hallissey powered home in a personal best time of 2hr 27min 44sec, making her the first British woman to cross the finish line and secure her place on Team GB. There was only one more marathon place available and Claire now completes the line-up alongside Paula Radcliffe and Mara Yamauchi.  Claire has been a patient of the Sports Medicine Clinic read her testimony of her treatment with us.
