  • Report from Egyptian DPPCR exchange students 2013
    We were a group of five ladies from the University of Cairo doing a diploma in public policy and child rights staying in the city of Bristol. For some of us it was their first time outside of their homeland, Egypt. For others, it was their first time in the UK. Excited as we were, we were received by both a warm welcome and a busy schedule. Our schedule included a three-day intense course on research methodologies with Masters and PhD students, more than 10 lectures tackling all aspects of child development and welfare with undergraduate students, and a number of meetings with the university staff members and with schools, care centres and NGOs working in the city of Bristol.

  • BSs Social Policy retains top position in 2014 Guardian University table
    Our BSc (Hons) Social Policy degree has retained its place at the top of the Guardian University subject league table 2014 for another year. Our BSc (Hons) Childhood Studies degree, which is categorised as Social Work for the purposes of the subject tables, was placed sixth, one place higher than last year. The Guardian uses a combination of NSS data and other statistics to create league tables for most degree courses in the UK.
