The project uses a ‘snapshot’ design of measuring crime focusing on a single 24-hour period to monitor all domestic abuse reported to a wide range of agencies within the Bristol area. The approach will provide an indication of the incidence of domestic abuse in Bristol, in particular with regard to contact with agencies by individuals experiencing domestic abuse and agency referrals. Agency workloads relating to domestic abuse and associated costs are also being measured.
