Why was it created?
The Staff Club was set up to foster social activities among all staff groups across the University. It replaces the facilities of the two previous staff organisations - the Senior Common Room (SCR) and the Joint Social Club (JSC). It has been set up as part of the PWE initiative and is in response to a staff survey carried out in 2004.
