Creative Writing Group

Description

This club is intended for anyone who is interested in developing their creative writing skills. It provides a friendly and supportive atmosphere for anyone who wants to practice and enjoy their writing, whatever their aims are and whatever the writing experience is.

Programme of events

The group meets every Monday during term time from 6.00pm to 7.45pm in the Staff Club Lounge at the Hawthorns (not on bank holidays). The group is currently taking a 'summer break', but will be reconvening on a weekly basis from Monday September 9th onwards.

Special Events

Monday September 30th.

 

Talk from Abi Reynolds, editor and literary consultant. Works closely with writers - mentoring, editing and supporting them along the process towards getting published. (Normal time and venue - see above).

Eligibility to join: Open to anyone who wants to practice their creative writing. Previous attendance on a UoB writing short course useful, but not by any means essential.

Subscription fees: There is no subscription fee for this group.
