Language Buddies Scheme

Club description

The idea of this scheme is to help people find "buddies" with whom to practise their conversational language skills. So, if you are an International member of staff you may want to practise conversational English and you will be able to offer practice in your native language to the other person. If your first language is English and you are learning a foreign language, you may want to find a buddy from that country to practise your conversational skills with and in turn can offer them practice in English.

Scheme details

There is a notice board in the entrance to the Staff Club for you to post your details on - please provide the following information:

  1. Your name
  2. The language you want to practise
  3. The language you can offer practice in
  4. Your contact details (either e-mail or phone number)

Alternatively, feel free to contact someone already on the board who can provide what you need. Once you have found a buddy, please remove your details from the board.

If you have any questions or would like further information, please visit the English language resources for international staff page or e-mail Alison Leggett or Ri'Anna Stueber.
