Photomarathon

What is a Photomarathon?

A Photomarathon is a photography competition with a bit of a challenge: you have to take ten photos of ten themes in the correct order over a five hour period. The dilemma is if you reach theme six and you see something that would capture theme two, do you delete the themes that you’ve already taken and start again from theme two, or ignore it and carry on...

After the Photomarathon, all the images are collated and printed, before a panel of judges meet to decide the winners. All the photos – yes, all of them – go on show in a free public exhibition.
