Lunchtime Sessions

Breathing Space

Staff Counselling is running basic mindfulness sessions every two weeks on a Wednesday every month from 12:45 pm to 1:15 pm, led by Vanessa Lathbury in The Space, Centre for Sport, Exercise and Health, Tyndall Avenue.

Breathing Space is an experiential workshop.  We will explore simple breathing techniques and mindfulness based exercises to help create a feeling of spaciousness and stillness in everyday life.  It is a chance to stop and find some stillness in the midst of the busyness of your working day.  It is also a chance to discover that from this place of stillness we can respond to difficult situations with a wider perspective and clarity of mind.  We therefore become less reactive to the challenges we meet and more accepting of the situations we find ourselves in.

There is no need to book.

 If you are interested just turn up on the day, but please try to be on time as we have had complaints from participants being interrupted halfway through the sessions.  Thanks.
