Leadership Development Programme (LDP)

The University is facing unprecedented challenge and change and now, perhaps more than ever, we need to support our leaders in helping us fulfil our vision as an institution.  Every leader at every level throughout the organisation has a key role in ensuring that the University has a “culture and environment that motivates and enables people to make an excellent contribution”.

The LDP is now half way through the third cohort, and we are continuing to develop the content, methodology and style of delivery to suit the needs of our delegates and the organisation, whilst recognising the importance and value of insights and contexts external to the University. Further information about a forth cohort will be available on this page early in 2012.

Delivered by external providers (Roffey Park) in partnership with the University, the threads of successfully leading change and managing performance run throughout the programme.  Feedback has confirmed the importance of ensuring the programme helps leaders have those ‘difficult’ conversations with individuals and/or teams, and we will also be ensuring that delegates get the opportunity to explore their learning and its relevance in the University context, with leaders from within the organisation.
