Many students do some part-time work to make ends meet. The University JobShop advertises suitable student vacancies. It is not advisable to work more than around 15 hours a week while studying full-time as it is important to leave sufficient time for academic study.
Some employers offer sponsorship for all or part of a course. You could try approaching major national or local employers, or the Armed Forces. Local Careers Offices may also be able to help.

Students from European Economic Area countries do not need permission to work in the UK, but will need to obtain a National Insurance number.
