Channel Islands and Isle of Man Students
What will I pay?
Financing your studies may seem complicated at first. Here at the University of Bristol we’ve put together information to help you understand the financial side of going to university.
In general terms, the costs you are likely to incur at university can be grouped into three categories: accommodation costs, general living costs and tuition fees.
Accommodation and general living costs
These will vary according to your lifestyle and the kind of accommodation you are allocated. Please visit the Accommodation Office website for more information.
Tuition fees
If you are normally resident in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you will pay tuition fees at the rate negotiated between the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and the Islands’ Governments.
Different degree programmes attract different rates of tuition fee, and you will be informed of the fee to be paid prior to registration.
Tuition fees for 2011/12 are published at the Academic Registry website where there is a link to the Universities UK website - Island fees for 2011-12 page.
