The Student Counselling Service would like to announce its programme of groups running during the Summer term 2012 to help support students:
A safe space to talk to others about our life, sharing concerns, and learning from others. Attendance required at all 6 sessions. Current clients of the service will need to suspend individual counselling for the duration of the group.
Wednesdays 3.30-4.30pm
6 weeks, 9 May to 13 June
Learn to use art as a means of self-exploration and expression, and a way of connecting with others. Advance booking required and weekly attendance recommended.
Mondays 12.30-2pm
6 weeks, 30 April to 19 June (except 5 June)
Learn how to manage stress and anxiety and improve your work-life balance by using relaxation practice. Advance booking required and regular attendance recommended at least once a week.
Mondays 6-7pm (except bank holidays) | Wednesdays 12.30-1.30pm | Fridays 12.30-1.30pm
Every week in term time, 23 April to 22 June
Come and learn how to use free writing as method of expressing your feelings and understanding yourself and others more fully. Advance booking required and regular attended recommended.
Tuesdays 6.30-7.30pm
7 weeks, 24 April to 19 June (except 5 June)
This term can be particularly challenging with deadlines and exams. Learn practical and effective techniques to manage stress, and share concerns with others who are under similar pressure. Regular attendance recommended.
Tuesdays 5.30-6.30pm
6 weeks, 9 May to 13 June
