Research postgraduates

• As well as many Student Skills courses, you can attend most of the courses offered by Staff Development.
• IT training and learning resources available to you include using the Endnote reference manager, the SPSS statistical package, Word for theses and PowerPoint for academic posters. Book these and other IT courses through Staff Development (IT Training) or find IT learning resources for self-study.
• Training in High Performance Computing is available to you if you need it.
• You can access a range of career support activities, designed specifically for Postgraduate Researchers, via the Careers Service event system.
• If your research (or any other activity) involves collecting sensitive data, you must take steps to safeguard it. See the research issues section of the University's Information Security website.
