Get involved

The University of Bristol Students' Union (Bristol SU) has more than 70 sports clubs, ranging from cycling to ultimate frisbee, and American football to skydiving.

If you're looking to compete at the highest level, you could represent the University in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league.

With our sports leadership and coaching opportunities you can try something new, take sport to the local community, or develop your coaching skills.

Sport Performance Squad

Our Performance Squad helps talented student athletes continue their sporting career without compromising academic achievements.

Members of the squad develop a personal action plan supported by services such as nutrition advice, physiotherapy, subsidised training equipment and a programme of high-performance workshops.

The squad has supported Olympians, Commonwealth medalists and world champions.

Students' Union sporting opportunities

The Students’ Union oversees more than 70 sport and health clubs.

This means plenty of opportunities to play sport at University representative level, in the intramural programme, or as part of Bristol SU's B:Active scheme.

Getting involved is also a great way to meet new people and settle into university life through the activities and social events that clubs organise.
