Video-commissioning agreement

Video-commissioning agreement (Office document, 92kB)

How and when to use this agreement

A film contract must be completed for all projects where an external film producer is employed to produce a film for the University of Bristol. This contract establishes the agreement between the University and the film producer, and clarifies a number of areas such as:

  • parameters of the project;
  • timeframes;
  • insurance;
  • and importantly, copyright and how both parties can use the film post production.

When employing a film producer, the contract must be signed by both the producer and a representative of the University, with copies kept by each.

The contract must be accompanied by a project brief, including production schedule and project deliverables.
