Impact and Benefits of SPR

Now that the new structures for support processes are all in place, it is essential that we continue to monitor their effectiveness and to track the extent to which the original objectives of SPR are being delivered. Many of the benefits of SPR will only be realised over time. This will therefore continue to be a stream of work for the academic year 2011/12 and beyond.

One of the key ways in which we are monitoring the impact and benefits of SPR is by conducting a regular survey seeking feedback on processes and systems. We have identified a cross-section of about 150 academic and support staff from across the University, and we have developed a survey which has been repeated  with broadly the same group of staff, to allow us to track opinion.

Three surveys have been conducted so far, in June and November 2011 and July 2012. A summary of the results is available in each case.

The results of each survey are passed to process owners, and also discussed with the Portfolio Executive, to ensure that we act on feedback received.
