Support Services

The University's success as an academic institution depends in part on the quality of a wide range of professional, administrative and other back-up functions, from finance and accommodation to grounds maintenance and IT. The mission of the University's Support Services is to support, enable and promote world-class learning, discovery and enterprise and so make a vital contribution to the success and well-being of the University and all its members.

The Support Services are headed by the Registrar and Chief Operating Officer, whose key roles are:

  • working with the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and the two Pro Vice-Chancellors to formulate the University's overall aims and objectives;
  • contributing at the highest level to the strategic management of the University's affairs;
  • leading major projects of strategic importance;
  • overall direction and co-ordination of Support Services.
