The Theatre Collection is happy to deal with initial enquiries about our holdings via
, phone, letter or fax.
If you have an enquiry about our holdings, we would advise you to search our
online catalogue prior to contacting us.
Please note that if you email us, you will receive an automated response on receipt of your query,
but due to the high number of enquiries which come in to the Theatre Collection, our response to your information request
may take up to 20 working days.
Any enquiries regarding commercial picture rights or copies for this purpose
should be directed to ArenaPAL
The Theatre Collection is open to all genuine researchers, whether academics, theatre practitioners or those
with a personal interest in drama and theatre history. We encourage visitors to use our
study facilities and undertake their own research.
An initial search of our
online catalogue will help you to decide whether you may need, or like, to visit us in person.
For non-commercial enquiries (i.e. personal research/reference) received from researchers who are
unable to visit the Theatre Collection, we can offer paper or electronic copies of images.
For enquiries received by letter or email, it is not Theatre Collection policy to
charge for the initial maximum search period of 15 minutes. However, if a more extensive search is necessary,
there may be an additional charge of £25. The enquirer will be informed prior to any additional searches and charges
being made. Please visit our Copying Service and Picture Library page
for details of our reprographics and reproduction fees.
Due to staff numbers and increased enquiries it is no longer possible for the Theatre Collection to undertake in depth research.
Please contact us if you would like help in finding an independent researcher
to undertake such research for you.
