After eight years working in North Devon as a farm animal (predominantly dairy) vet, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in science. I joined Bristol Veterinary School to work on the OH STAR project as the primary veterinary researcher on the dairy cattle side of the project. I also contribute to several other research projects within the Bristol AMR research group.

Activities / Findings

I currently work on the OH STAR project, looking into AMR on dairy farms, as well as in dogs and humans.

As well as this project, I am also involved in other AMR research at Bristol and am particularly interested in antimicrobial usage metrics and how to accurately record antimicrobial usage on dairy farms. I enjoy processing data and performing statistical tests and have a very active role doing this within the AMR group.

These are my primary research interests, but I am also interested in all other aspects of dairy cattle health, welfare and production.
