Summary

Originally trained as a mathematical economist, Dr Taro Takahashi's research interests include bioeconomic modelling and life cycle assessment (LCA) of livestock production systems as well as progamme evaluation and general equilibrium modelling of pasture and livestock-based economies. In addition to his role at Bristol Veterinary School, Dr Takahashi also works as a Research Scientist for Rothamsted Research located near Okehampton, Devon.

Biography

Dr Taro Takahashi is a recently appointed Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Livestock Systems and Food Security at School of Veterinary Sciences. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Australian National University, and has previously worked for School of Agricultural and Wine Sciences, Charles Sturt University (Australia) and Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the University of Tokyo (Japan).
