Small animal neurology group

We use a technical platform that comprises surgical theatres, high field MRI and CT scanners, advanced electrophysiological equipment, urodynamic equipment, ICU unit, and rehabilitation unit to provide not only provide treatment for any animal but also to undertake clinical research projects.

Current studies into:

  • Implanting Vagal nerve stimulators in dogs with intractable epilepsy
  • Measurement of compound muscle action potentials in dogs
  • Diagnosis and treatment of canine meningoencephalitis
  • Outcomes for dogs with facial nerve neuropathy
  • Use of 3D implants for spinal surgery
  • Spinal cord injury and spinal shock
