The Volcanology Research Group at Bristol consists of over 50 staff, post-doctorates, postgraduate students and visitors from across Earth Sciences. Their research interests cover a wide range of specialities associated with volcanology including igneous petrology, thermodynamics, multiphase flow and fragmentation processes, plume dynamics and ash dispersal, remote sensing and hazard and risk assessment.
