Using accesskeys and keyboard shortcuts
There are a couple of accesskeys (keyboard shortcuts) that work on the University of Bristol's corporate web. These accesskeys are intended to help users who have difficulty in using pointing devices such as a mouse to navigate the site.
- S - Skip navigation
- 1 - Homepage
To use these accesskeys, do one of the following:
- Windows browsers: ALT + S, then press Return if using Internet Explorer
- Mac browsers: CTRL + S
- In Mozilla and Netscape 7 on both Windows and Mac, there should be no need to hit Return
These accesskeys will not work with Netscape 4.* or Opera.
These accesskeys are based on UK Government accesskeys standards.
