The current Plone-based Content Management System (CMS) was implemented in-house in 2004. Today it is working at capacity with over 190 websites which causes some page loads to be slower than we would like and as a result, needs to be replaced.
The CMS Replacement Project is responsible for developing and implementing the new CMS, Site Manager, and migrating the public-facing content of all Plone websites to Site Manager. The content of migrated websites will not be altered during migration however, they will benefit from an updated look and feel which has been developed as part of the new template.
Only Plone web publishers will be directly affected by this project. Non-Plone web publishers may also have questions about how the changes may affect them. We hope the following information will answer any queries you have about the process.
