Research Mobility Programme

**N.B. this scheme is not currently running**

The Research Mobility Programme (RMP) enables institutions across the network to exchange expertise, share access to rare facilities and cultivate new research. Typically visits last between 1 and 3 months and any fees are waived.

The RMP enables researchers to:

University of Bristol guidance

Applications are welcome from PhD students (second and penultimate years of study) and early career researchers (pathway 1) at Bristol from all academic fields, both in existing WUN research areas and new areas with the potential for developing a sustainable WUN collaboration. Unfortunately, this scheme is not open to pathway 2 research assistants, associates or fellows

Who's Eligible? UoB funds travel and accommodation for PhD students and early career researchers (pathway 1) to conduct research at one of 22 WUN partners. Priority is given to well-defined proposals which demonstrate a clear benefit to the applicant, the UoB and WUN. Applicants should demonstrate how the collaboration will be sustained following the visit. PhD students are reminded that the purpose of the scheme is to undertake research overseas and to cultivate research links, and hence is not appropriate for students in either the very early or final stages of their PhD studies.

Previous UoB Awardees can be found at this link

What is available? The University of Bristol will provide funding for an international economy airfare and a contribution towards subsistence costs (up to a maximum of £1K per month) for visits up to 3 months.

To apply, please complete the appropriate RMP application form. Applications should be sent electronically (merged into one PDF document) to the International Research Partnerships Officer, robert.crowe@bristol.ac.uk, before the relevant deadline (please see below).
