1. Your phone number is not displayed or is incorrect

Inform your departmental contact directory administrator, who will make the correction for you.

2. Your name, department, job title or postal address are displayed incorrectly

If your name is wrong, you appear in the wrong department or your postal address is wrong, report the error to the appropriate Human Resources (HR) Faculty/Division facing team.

HR can also add "known names" for members of staff. When it exists, the known name is used in the directory instead of the first name.

Staff job titles are the official titles as in the contract of employment and held on the Personnel System (PIMS). If your job title is no longer correct, you should contact the appropriate HR Faculty/Division facing team, in the first instance.

If the name of a postgraduate or undergraduate student is wrong, or they are described as being in the wrong department or on the wrong course, report it to the appropriate Faculty Office.

3. Your email address is wrong

Email help-email@bristol.ac.uk.

4. Your office number or location is not displayed

Your department can decide whether it wishes to include staff office locations in the directory. Contact your departmental contact directory administrator if your office location is missing.

5. You have a personal web page but the URL is not displayed

Members of staff may add a "home page" entry to be displayed in the Contact Directory using the StaffInfo application. This may be set in the "Personal Details" section of StaffInfo as a "Personal URL".

6. The URL of a department is wrong or missing

Email webmaster@bristol.ac.uk.

7. An internal phone number does not exist in the directory

The directory holds a list of valid University of Bristol exchange numbers, and only allows numbers to be selected from this list. If the directory does not recognise an internal number, contact telephone-services@bristol.ac.uk who will check its validity and add it to the list.

8. Accessing information

The Contact Directory now uses the University's Single Sign On service.
