Areas of expertise |
I am an academic GP with clinical interests in urgent and emergency healthcare. My current research explores the use of urgent and emergency medical services (particularly ambulance services). I am investigating how to optimise delivery of urgent community care to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions. I am using mixed-methods strategies to explore predictors and patterns of primary-care sensitive urgent care episodes, and how/why people choose certain forms of emergency care over alternatives. I also have teaching and research interests in resuscitation and prehospital care.
