Diploma/certificate stages:

All taught masters programmes, unless exempted by Senate, must allow the opportunity for students to choose, or be required, to leave at the postgraduate diploma or certificate stage.

Additional progress information

The student will complete units EMATM0010 and EMATM0009 as the taught component of the MRes.

The normal expectation is that the student will continue from the taught component (80cp) to complete a Masters level enhanced research component (100cp) in order to graduate with an MRes (180cp). If they do not wish, or are not permitted, to proceed to the research component, the student may exit with a PG Certificate (worth 60cp) after completing the taught component.
