Description including Unit Aims

This unit will centre around the critical question of salvation: who can be saved? Related questions will be explored, such as:

  1. what is salvation?
  2. is there salvation only in Christ?
  3. what revelation is there of God in other faiths?

Biblical, theological, historical, cultural and missiological perspectives will be intergrated to enable students to engage critically with these questions. In the light of the discussion the question of evangelism amongst those of other faiths will be tackled. The implications of the discussion for local relationships more generally with other faiths wil be examined.
