Description including Unit Aims

This unit will develop students' understanding of all issues pertaining to the management and delivery of quality health, education and social care services in the UK. It will also encourage students to reflect on their own personal and professional development within the context of interprofessional working.

Intended Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate clinical competency through completion of the IRCP and PPP
  • Demonstrate safe and effective practice through audiological competency examination
  • Demonstrates completion of all compulsory FDs within IRCP on placement, or in University workshop based setting

Experiential learning on placement.

Assessment Information

For the award of credit:

IRCP completion PPP completion Practical examination on placement – a minimum of ‘satisfactory’ grade C must be achieved in all assessed areas

Completion of 4th year placement (all 2175 hours from year 3 and 4 combined) and a satisfactory placement report with no outstanding cause for concern
