This is the second unit aimed at preparing students for entry into the profession of teaching English as a Foreign Language. It focuses on the English language and its description and the principles and practice of teaching and learning English in relation to a wide range of adult learners. It examines the nature, role and use of resources and materials, the process and application through teaching practice of teaching/learning and how this can be managed at different levels.
