Description including Unit Aims

This unit is designed to develop and examine skills and techniques used in situations where BSL English and English to BSL interpreting occurs. The unit assumes high levels of competence in both English and BSL and a considerable grasp of the process of simultaneous interpreting. Students will work in situations where interpreting is taking place and will have extended practice in this mode.
