Teaching is provided by the School of Social and Community Medicine and comprises a mixture of: Lectures Small group tutorials Visits to primary care Follow-up presentations of experiences of meeting patients Clinical demonstrations Library-based project work.
Students must complete an applied case and reflective assignment. These must be completed by the end of the term in which your GP visits take place. They will be marked by your GP tutor. Their purpose is formative (that means designed to help you judge your own progress rather than showing us you have reached a particular standard). Satisfactory completion is a pre-requisite for progress into Year 2. (A101 students are not required to do these assessments.)
