The dissertation will consist of a 15000-word study of a topic arising from work already undertaken by students following the MA in Modern Languages. Where students are following a particular pathway within the Modern Languages MA programme, and seeking a named award related to that pathway, the choice of dissertation topic will be relevant to that discipline. Students will be free to choose the subject of their dissertation, subject to the advice and guidance of unit directors and the availability of an appropriate supervisor. Dissertation titles must also be approved by the programme director.
