This module will detail the steps required to assess a patient for their suitability for implant treatment and arrive at a provisional diagnosis. The further special tests and information which may be required to arrive at a final diagnosis and the development of a treatment plan. Aspects to be covered will include the consideration of the patient&�s expectations, medical history and contraindications to dental implant treatment. In addition the module will cover the legal and ethical aspects of obtaining informed consent.
