Description including Unit Aims
The aims of the research project are to:
- Give the student guided experience in the planning and execution of projects (either literature review, audit or service evaluation).
- Enable the student to critically evaluate experimental data/ published papers.
- Expose the student to the processes by which scientific results are communicated and debated.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Students successfully completing this module will be able to:
- Undertake a literature search in their field of study within the area of oral pathology/ medicine.
- Design and undertake a project (either literature review, audit or service evaluation).
- Critically analyse data and present findings.

- Literature review, audit or service evaluation presented as a dissertation.
