Description including Unit Aims

Mandatory for Joint Honours students in Psychology and Zoology who are NOT taking PSYC31207. The main body of the project is not to exceed 6,000 words (excluding the reference list, tables and appendices). The project is to be based on empirical investigations carried out by the student, with guidance from the project Supervisor (approx. 12 tutorials). Students should aim to achieve the format required in journal articles (journals of the American Psychological Association and the British Psychological Society serve as exemplars).

Intended Learning Outcomes

The project is an opportunity for you to put into practice the research skills that you have developed over the first 2 years of the programme. Working with the guidance of a supervisor, you will design, develop, run, analyse and write up a piece of original research.
