Description including Unit Aims

To provide an introduction to the concepts and benefits of applying Lean Principles. To show methods of continuously improving the effectiveness of business processes using a realistic process simulation. On completion of the module, delegates will: Understand how the separate elements of lean thinking inter-relate; Have applied Lean thinking and managed the change process through simulation; Learn how to consider human factors within the change process; Be able to analyse business processes and implement the Principles of Lean in order to enhance customer value; Understand in detail the 5 Principles of Lean; Have an in-depth knowledge of the tools and techniques available to support the change process.
