Because of its centrality to innovation and development, an understanding of entrepreneurship is essential to managers in any organisational context. It is very much a current theme in economic, political and social commentary and entrepreneurship, once associated with maverick individuals, is now widely held to be an essential driver of innovation, economic growth and social change. However, despite this currency, entrepreneurship remains a fuzzy and ill-defined concept. This unit explores the concept of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial behaviour.
