Description including Unit Aims

The unit aims to offer individualised study skills. Tutorials are given weekly and additional activities designed to meet the needs of the student. These will include library skills, IT skills, learning skills.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to:

Reflect on the skills and physics knowledge they have and identify areas in which they need to improve.

Research a topic independently and present the results of their research coherently

Teaching Information

Tutorial discussions, guided reading and formative feedback on the portfolio as it develops.

Assessment Information

Students will be assessed on a portfolio of work produced during the unit. This may include a presentation.
