Students will develop a deeper understanding around the aetiology, management and treatment of dental caries and periodontal disease. Emphasis will be placed on the dental care of the adult poulation, including the treatment and management of root caries, advanced tooth wear. These subjects are interlinked with the study of caries prevention, oral health promotion and education all of which are assessed at a theoretical and practical level throughout the course.
