Managing change 1 will introduce students to the main families of theories of change management. It will cover the most commonly used models in private, public and not-for-profit organisations, as well as models and theories taken from current academic work. The aim of the unit is for students to understand the interconnectedness of many theories, as well as various classifications of academic approaches to change management. The unit will also cover conventional approaches to change taken from the disciplines of strategy and organisational behaviour. New insights from evolutionary biology and the management of technology will also be included.
